MV speech hoodie
A hoodie design for my speech team, the Monta Vista Speech Team. The design depicts the various activities we do in speech. This artwork received a Silver Key in the 2024 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

Growing up with strict yet loving Asian immigrant parents, I often felt like I was in an awkward space of independence as a teenager. There is at once so much at stake–sacrifices to make worth it, unspoken dreams to fulfill, and space that feels like I'll never be big enough to fill–yet also so few right ways to do it, so little time to mature and so little space to grow.
About Me
April Wang is currently a freshman attending Rhode Island School of Design for a BFA in Graphic Design. In her free time, April likes to create gifts for friends and listen to new K-pop groups. She also has a list of books to read that is growing longer by the day no matter how fast she reads.
