April was a part of El Estoque, Monta Vista High School's newsmagazine, for three years. She worked as a staff writer, copy editor, and currently, graphics editor. During this time, April wrote several articles, some of which were nationally recognized by high school journalism organizations like JEANC, NSPA, and CSPA.
