Souvenir Project

Mom Cut Fruit is a series of blind boxes, inspired by the indirect and emotionally complex way immigrant parents often show their love. Each box is themed after an orange and can be peeled open along the scoring. Each box also comes with slips (modeled after fortune cookie slips) on which to write things you wish you could say to the recipient, but haven’t found the right occasion or way to say them. The messages can be slipped into the boxes, and the boxes can be given to the recipient(s).
